Even in absurdity, sacrament.     Even in hardship, holiness.     Even in doubt, faith.     Even in chaos, realization.    Even in paradox, blessedness.

what's this all about?

This site is the webshack of Theodore "jay" Joslin; a divinity student, author, activist and certified loony person who resides just north of Asheville, NC. The front page houses his blog ( or interactive journal ), and the portfolio contains examples of his creative work.

The title "bird on the moon" refernces his deep love for the moon and birds. The site is created in the hope of advancing our human mytho-poetic quest towards understanding, and inciting awareness of the eternal now. He believes that each act that we perform has infinite affect on the universe, so engaging the "cosmic nifty" and practising unconditional love can not only benefit our local paradigm, but the whole shi-bang. And the whole shi-bang is in great need of benefit.

So that's the best he ( or I, typing in third person ) can figure out. Sharing the self need not be some ego-rubbing ritual, but rather a gift to aid in the transformation and barrier-busting of our sphere of consciousness ( often called the Earth ). We've spent too much time trying to be civilized by not talking to eachother, and now look at the collective mess we're in. Absurd as it may be, evolving is worth a shot, even if it's as silly as a "bird on the moon."
